The yak and silk hold the dye differently – the silk embracing the violet with quiet luminosity, the yak, depth and shadow. Turn the skein in your hands and the colour shifts, not with the light, but within it. The same purple. The natural dark base of the yak gives every colour a jewel-like quality, rich and quietly luminous. The silk contributes drape and a gentle sheen that catches light with every movement.
