Opal Fingering · Burnished Shores
The shore at low tide, late afternoon, when the wet sand catches the light and holds it. Warm, grounded, the particular orange-gold of a place shaped by water and weather.
Burnished Shores is that light. Named for the coast, coloured like copper, it reads differently in every room you carry it into.
On Opal Fingering, the pale camel base lets Burnished Shores read at full warmth and luminosity. This is the new penny version, bright and reflective, the silk giving it a sheen that shifts with every movement. The naturally warm camel base adds its own gold undertone, deepening the copper without darkening it. Baby camel and silk together produce a softness that has no equivalent in the range, smooth rather than springy, with a natural warmth that merino cannot replicate. It is the kind of yarn that changes what you thought you knew about hand feel.
At 533 metres per 100g skein, this base offers exceptional yardage for its weight - enough for generous shawls and lightweight garments from a single or paired skein.

Frequently asked questions
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle wool wash. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight. Avoid wringing or twisting. Block gently to shape if needed.
Each skein is hand-dyed in small batches, so subtle variations in colour and saturation are part of the character of these yarns. For larger projects, we recommend purchasing skeins from the same dye lot where possible, noted on the label, or alternating between lots as you work for the most even result.
Orders are typically prepared and shipped within 3-5 business days. Local pickup and delivery available for Nanoose Bay, Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Errington, Coombs, and Lantzville, see details at checkout.
A Rare Luxury
Camel fibre is gathered from herds that roam vast, windswept landscapes, built for extremes of heat and cold. Combined with silk, it becomes a yarn as rare as the places it comes from
A Golden Glow
Camel carries its own warmth, a soft, golden undertone that colours settle into. Where yak might cool a shade, camel gives it a gentle glow, warming every colour it touches toward something rich and sun-warmed.
In the Hand
Camel is exceptionally soft, finer and gentler than most wools, with a warmth that feels almost like cashmere. Paired with silk’s smooth slip, this is a yarn that feels as luxurious as it looks.
