Superfine Merino Fingering · After the Storm
The sea, hoarder of things once lost, cradled in its embrace. The storm does not ask. From the depths it steals, reveals. Fleetingly. Treasure transformed. Waiting, it lies, but for who? Joyfully found, or reclaimed, back to the depths. Whose hand will reach first?
After the Storm.
What the sea transformed, the storm revealed. Four colours swirling gently through a single skein, each settling in its own place. The same storm, different shores.
On Superfine Fingering, the four colours of After the Storm arrive vivid and immediate. The fine merino gives the colour movement energy – the transitions between teal, sage, pale aqua and seafoam bright and clear, the dye finding its own path across the fine twist. The colours pool with confidence. Present, and alive.
Superfine Fingering is 100% superwash 17-micron merino, spun to a fingering weight. At 17 microns this is among the finest merino available, with a softness and loft that sets it apart from standard merino bases. The characteristic bounce and resilience of the fine merino give it energy in the hand and excellent stitch definition on the needle.
Dyed in small batches in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, using acid dyes on protein fibre. Each skein is individually hand-dyed. Each skein is a unique expression of the colourway – colours pool and arrange differently from skein to skein. No two are identical.

Machine washable on a gentle wool cycle, or hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight.
Each skein is hand-dyed in small batches, so subtle variations in colour and saturation are part of the character of these yarns. For larger projects, we recommend purchasing skeins from the same dye lot where possible, noted on the label, or alternating between lots as you work for the most even result.
